Likewise, the conference will give an account of the processes and emergent insights from the Civic Laboratories co-organized together with the Climate Biennial, the Iberian Network of Community Culture Laboratories and the redACTS. These laboratories have explored how the collaboration between community, artistic and scientific knowledge can contribute to generating collective responses to the climate crisis. The findings accumulated to date suggest that this type of articulation opens up possibilities that conventional disciplinary frameworks hardly achieve separately.

The redACTS operates through nodes distributed throughout the territory of the Nation and works from disciplinary displacements of practices, experimentation and diverse institutional frameworks to create a common space for collaboration between research, production, pedagogy and knowledge transfer. Its aim is that hybrid practices between the arts, sciences and technologies constitute an exceptional epistemic space for addressing the transitions and transformations demanded by the climate emergency.
