INFO

The Camposagrado Palace, located in the historic centre of Avilés, is one of the main examples of Baroque architecture in the city. Built between the end of the 17th and the beginning of the 18th century by the Avilesian architect Francisco Menéndez Camina, the building has two main facades with different meanings: a northern one, of Renaissance influence, oriented towards the old wall and the port; and a southern one, of a more ornamental character, with symmetrical towers and a large heraldic shield that reflects the aristocratic status of its owners.

during the Peninsular War and as commercial spaces on its ground floor during the 20th century. After its restoration by the City Council of Avilés, it currently houses the Vocational School of Arts of the Principality of Asturias, joining the educational and cultural life of the city while preserving outstanding historical elements such as its monumental stone staircase and its Baroque facade.
