INFO

The current headquarters of the Spain Campus of the ArcelorMittal University occupy a building built in the 1970s, with a strong rationalist influence, which originally housed the ENSIDESA Apprentice School.

This space played a fundamental role in the technical and industrial training of several generations of workers linked to the steel development of Avilés. Throughout its history, the school trained a total of 1,744 young people as fitters, boilermakers, forgers, steel metallurgists and turners, becoming one of the main industrial training centres in the city. Currently, the building manages the training needs of all the company's work centres in Spain, maintaining its historical link with technical education and the industrial fabric of Avilés.
